P.S. - Cutting Childrens Hair

As a hairdresser, I get to cut my kids hair at home. I could not imagine having to lug my kids to the mall or hairdresser to get their hair cut. It just would be not only a big hassel, but would cost me tons of money. Figure at least $12 for a kids hair cut for both my boys, who need their hair cut about every 4-6 weeks, that works up to be a decent amount of money that I could be putting into their bank accounts.

I wrote up an article to help people who may want to cut their kids hair at home, or maybe they already are but want to do a little bit better of a job. The article goes through some steps, and also goes through tools needed and shares some great tools to to the job. To read more visit my article "The Secret tips and tecniques to give a child a hair cut at home".

The Big Yellow House On The Corner
It was a very small town. It was surrounded by much larger towns, but this town was special. Everyone knew this house who drove through this small town.
It was the big yellow house on the corner.
It was the house with two huge pine trees on each corner in the front.
It was the one of the only Mother Daughter houses on Main Street.
It was the house where kids got kissed and tucked in for bed.
It was the house that had the huge spider web up at Halloween.
It was the house that had a whole counter dedicated to candy everyday.
It was the house that had a constant smell of baked goods or home cooking blowing in the wind.
It was the house that had a table full of cookies and cakes.
It was the house that had a Nana on the daughter side.
It was the house shortly and sadly after that the father's parents moved in the daughter side.
It was the house always filled with dinner guests.
It was the house all the neighborhood kids ran to.
It was the house that you can know dinner would be on the table at 5:30.
It was the house where you said a prayer before each meal.
It was the house you sat outside of to watch the annual Memorial Day Parade.
It was the house with the apple tree.
It was the house that 5 children grew into adults.
It was the house where the Holiday time Spook walk was held.
It was the house the whole family and all of our cousins and aunts and uncles crammed into on a regular basis.
It was the house where there was a matching play house out back because a 5 yr old girl requested it.
It was the house 4 boys and 1 girl were always playing games like wiffle ball, or football in.
It was the house where summer time lunches were mac & cheese, hot dogs, sandwiches to die for, and cool aid.
It was the house we would run around in the snow until the yard filled up with foot prints.
It was the house where somehow on a very low salary 2 more rooms and a bathroom were added on so that their daughter could have her own room.
It was the house that had a sun porch filled with toys galore.
It was the house that had sleepovers with friends.
It was the house where kids weren't always blood, but were made to feel like they were.
It was the house in walking distance to the pizza place and ice scream store.
It was the house 2 doors down from the little girl's future husband's house.
It was the house where crafts were a normal requests.
It was the house where birthdays and Christmas were always made special no matter how much the income was.
It was the house filled with so much love that it spilled over through out the whole neighborhood.

It was My House!!!!

It is the house my children get to go visit Nana & Pop Pop.
It is the house where my children's uncle's often hang out.
It is the house we spend many holidays.
It is the house we now get to watch fish in a pond.
It is the house where the smell of home cooking & baked goods blows through the air.
It is the house where I grew up.
It was no longer a Mother daughter house, but one house.
It no longer has the two huge pine trees on each corner in the front.
It is still the big yellow house on the corner.
It still has so much love that it spills over all the way to my house.

P.S.- The Best Baby Gate for Baby & Parents!
There are good baby gate's and there are bad baby gates. How do you know if one is going to be good??? That's what goes through my mind when I am at the store staring at the endless selection of safety baby gates. What makes a baby gate a good baby gate???

I have to say that this hands free gate is the best baby gate. I had it with my first. You don't need ANY hands for this gate! It worked wonders if I was holding him, or bringing in grocery's or just carrying things from room to room. You just step on the pedal and can use your knee to push it open.

I say this because this time around when it was time for a gate, I went to the store, they didn't have it, so i bought a different baby gate. I hate it.. It is awful. I need two hands sometimes to open it. If I had the money I would go buy this First Years Hands Free Gate which is the same one I had with my first!!!! I definitely used it to it's full potential!!! It's also toddler proof Which is awesome. There is a certain amount of weight that needs to be applied in order for the gate to unlatch!

This has been a sponsored post to help me buy this gate!! :-)
