I decided to use my Mother's Day gift for Family Friday's because it is awesome and Every family should have one!!!!
My husband got me from the boys "A Story Of A Lifetime" leather bound Journal for personal memoirs.
Anyway I am not into writing in journals or anything so at first I was scared, but then I opened it up! Oh my goodness it is AWESOME!! It starts out asking questions about your parents, parents and grandparents, it goes into questions of your birth, childhood, gradeschool, teenage years, highschool.
It then goes into college, military, marraige, children questions. It continues on and on through the golden years and on and on. The questions they ask are interesting and the way the questions are asked require detailed interesting answers!!!
Now the card that came with the book was touching, or scary, I still can not determine which. It will be glued to the inside of the front cover as it should be. Here is what the card said.
" There's a special place in heaven for the mother of 2 boys. But dont forget to pass along all you've learned to those of us left behind. We LOVE you forever and always!
Guy & Cory"
I do not know if they are trying to tell me something (like they want me gone). Or that they really want to know everything about my life. Anyway with that said I think it is an amazing gift. An heirloom, something I can pass down to my children or grandchildren one day so that they may know about my life, my grandparents, my parents, and their childhoods!!!! How awesome is that. My husband got this at Redenvelope.com I am sure their are other versions but I love this one!
Anyway I had to share because I think that somewhere in every family someone should have something like this for newer generations to be able to read and cherish!!!
Come join me in Family Fridays.. Write about something You and your family have done together over the past week or plan on doing, whether it be watching a family friendly movie, a fabulous family recipe, a fun family recipe your child(ren) helped with, a fantastic family game, products your family thinks are far out, or just simply taking a family trip out and about. Whatever it may be we would love to hear about it!

1 oz. Lean Roast Beef, Chipped or Sliced Thin
1 Wedge Laughing Cow Original Cheese
1 Lite Hotdog Bun (1 point)
Desired amount of Bell Pepper, sliced thin
Desired amount of Onion, sliced thin
Black Pepper
Spray a small skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Cook the bell pepper and onion over medium-low heat until tender (I ended up with about 1/4 cup of the cooked pepper onion mixture). Add roast beef to the skillet along with the cheese. Use a spatula and break the cheese up a bit. Cook and stir until the beef is hot and the cheese has melted. Sprinkle with desired amount of black pepper. Serve in the hotdog bun. I like to toast my bun in a 250 degree oven while I'm cooking the cheese steak ingredients. This makes the outside sort of crispy. If you're making more than one cheese steak, it's a great way to keep the completed cheese steaks hot while you cook all of them. Just keep an eye on them so they don't get hard or burnt. Serve the cheese steaks with fat free mayo, lettuce, diced tomatoes, or anything else you can fit on top. Just be sure to add additional points if you add something that needs to be counted.

OK so this week didn't go as I'd hoped, but I wasn't bad.. Just not full force back on track. I did however lose 1 lb which is awesome because the scale has been stuck for weeks!!!!
I have not rigorously exercised, and I have snacked at night, and I have not exactly counted every single point I put in my mouth. I did however get an awesome new WW cook book from Sams Club. It has tons of recipes and I plan on trying out a whole bunch!! I am going to start planning my dinners each week from that book!!!
So this week I am going to pound myself. The exercising is however difficult as I had a wart froze on the bottom of my foot and hurts, but I am going to anyway. I need a local anesthetic!!!!
