P.S. - Cutting Childrens Hair
As a hairdresser, I get to cut my kids hair at home. I could not imagine having to lug my kids to the mall or hairdresser to get their hair cut. It just would be not only a big hassel, but would cost me tons of money. Figure at least $12 for a kids hair cut for both my boys, who need their hair cut about every 4-6 weeks, that works up to be a decent amount of money that I could be putting into their bank accounts.
I wrote up an article to help people who may want to cut their kids hair at home, or maybe they already are but want to do a little bit better of a job. The article goes through some steps, and also goes through tools needed and shares some great tools to to the job. To read more visit my article "The Secret tips and tecniques to give a child a hair cut at home".

thanks for the tips. I tried to cut my boys hair when they were little but it became too much of a fight. I cut their hair now and take them to the salon about every 3rd cut to get it shaped up good.
I have been wanting to cut my girls hair but I am not looking forward to getting them to sit still. My 3yr old might.
You've given my some confidence so I might try it this weekend
Great article!! And that picture is so freakin' cute!
I wish you lived closer to me. Zoe had her hair cut a couple weeks ago and the lady butchered it...It was so bad that my friends were asking why I tried cutting her hair. Thankfully I found another girl to fix it the next day and now she gets lots of compliments. I wish I could cut hair, but I will gladly pay to have it look ok!

Great tips! They had to hold my daughter down with 4 employees at one of those kid cut's places -- she has just recently allowed me to trim her hair, and she sat still at the hair cut place just this weekend -- I can keep the trim up at home!
