A little more about me.....
So I started on my blogging journey, but never really posted much about myself. Let's start by saying that I sent my husband on a trip to Amsterdam with friends of ours to see Dave Mathews. He left yesterday and already I am bored, thus comes the idea and time to write more about myself.
From the beginning... I was adopted at age 1 1/2 by a Christian family who had 2 boys of their own but could not have anymore children. They had prayed for me and I was literally dropped off at their doorstep. They found out I had a brother a few months later and took him too so that we could be together. A few years later they had adopted yet another child, who has disabilities and no home. I could not ask for better parents, they showed us all the love they showed their own children. They have the biggest hearts and would help anyone. That was my childhood (Of coarse I could write a book, but no one would read it).
I am married to the boy I chased after pretty much all my teenage years. Yup I finally tagged him and claimed him mine. I met my husband when I was 5 years old. He was my best friends older brother (4 years older) and they moved 2 houses down from us. When I was about 12 he came over to return a tool to my father and winked at me, for some reason something at that point clicked. I knew I was meant to marry him. The chase began! After much chasing, He finally asked me to marry him, we married April 15, 2000.
A few years later we decided to have our first baby. We got pregnant right away but unfortunately the first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. It was heartbreaking but we got right back on the horse and got pregnant again. We had our first son Guy (who is named after his daddy and grandfather) November 30, 2003. He was exactly 1 week early, there were some complications with the delivery but nothing too bad. He is the sweetest little boy who looks nothing like either of us. (looks a mix of his daddy and my brother) Blond hair and green eyes. My first Monkey.
When he was 2 We decided we would try for another. We didn't want the kids to be too far apart. Right before we started trying we had yet another miscarriage. It took about 6 months of trying and we got pregnant. Cory was born September 6, 2006. We had another rough delivery except this one was the deal breaker for no more kids. As a matter of fact Guy called for the big V the following week. Cory has Dark hair and blue eyes (so far) and he is just so cuddly it is impossible to not kiss him and squeeze him. He is our Chunky Monkey.
We live not too far from our family and where we grew up. We don't have many friends, but the friends we do have are like family or are family! Our family is our number 1 priority and without it we would be lost. We cant wait for all of life's adventures to share together.
Well I will leave it at that, with a couple of photo's. Oh yeah! If you were wondering, I sent hubby to Amsterdam with our friends to see Dave Mathews. He works so hard for our family, and spent last years vacation time staying home with me to take care of our new little one, and he needed a break. He was very reluctant at first but I know he'll have a blast and it's only for a few days. We already miss him hugely and he hasn't even been gone for 24 hours. :-) I cant wait for him to come home, but I know he is going to be refreshed and relaxed. He so deserved it!!!!
Thanks for reading about me, and I hope you come back to read more fun posts!!

I'm visiting from the blog party. Your kids are beautiful! BTW, I grew up on Long Island!
My husband was adopted as well. I know how important adoption is. I think both of your boys are just adorable. I'm glad to have met you. :)

I loved reading about your story. Wow! How was the trip to Amsterdam, to see Dave Matthews?
I have fond memories of watching our 3 year old play the imaginary drums to a Dave Matthews CD.
What a lovely blog, and I loved the pictures. Came here from the party, I am so glad you participated.
Blessings.
What sweet kids you have. And a sweet story of how you and your husband married. You must be someone who knows what they want.
Hello! So nice to stop by and get to know you.
Your children are adorable. Sorry about your rough deliveries. My first was not a lot of fun for me but the next two each got a bit better. Although 3 is our limit and that's when my dh went! LOL
